The Kitchen
This two-stage piece took the form of a virtual swop between two kitchens. A video from the hectic backstage area of restaurant Yakup in Istanbul was shown on a monitor in a trendy restaurant in Kreuzberg. At the same time, a parallel video documenting the Berlin kitchen was similarly exported to the dining area of Yakup. This exchange between two sites of work are not merely a humorous play with expectations and the off site activities of invisible labour.
