Independent Art Space, London, 1996 Two Men and a Sheep
Letters were sent out to men in the art community, asking them to support a project that dealt-among other things-with men and tenderness. In return for a € 10 contribution they would receive a numbered and signed photo of the event. The donations were used to fund a performance to which the greater public was invited. Two actors and a sheep were hired for the event, which was documented by a surveillance camera. For four hours the men sat in the pen, constantly striking the sheep.
